Technical data is processed automatically to provide the website securely and quickly.
Hetzner
We host this website on servers provided by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany).
- Data collected: Server Log Files (IP addresses, timestamps, browser types).
- Purpose: To ensure the stability and security of the website.

Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare Inc. (USA) as a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to protect the website from attacks (DDoS) and optimize loading speeds.
- Data: Technical traffic data between your browser and our server is routed through Cloudflare.
- Legal Basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (Legitimate Interest in security).
- Transfer: Data transfer to the USA is secured via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
2. App Data Collection
To enhance your experience while using our mobile apps, it may be necessary to collect certain information about your device. This includes Device IDs (Advertising ID, Android ID), Device Model, and OS Version.
- Purpose: To ensure the functionality of the service and to diagnose bugs.

3. Game-specific Data: Sandbox Elements
The mobile game Sandbox Elements collects additional information to support in-game features.
What is collected:
- Username: Chosen by the player to identify themselves in-game.
- Device ID: A unique identifier used to distinguish between players.
- User-Generated Content: Data you voluntarily upload, such as worlds, objects, artworks, particles, screenshots, titles, descriptions, categories, thumbnails, and related metadata.
- Profile Information: Public profile information connected to uploaded content, such as username, avatar, user UUID, and upload or update timestamps.
Why it’s collected:
- To create a persistent in-game profile tied to your creations.
- To allow you to publish content to the community.
- To display public uploads in the game and on Arcane Energy websites, including the Sandbox Universe and individual share pages.
- To support basic moderation.

Public uploads and visibility
If you publish content as public, it may be visible to other players in the game and to visitors of Arcane Energy websites. Public upload pages may show the content title, description, thumbnail, content type, categories, author name, author avatar, user UUID, and upload or update date.
Public content is only displayed while it is marked as public and not deleted or restricted. We may hide, restrict, or delete content if it violates rules, is reported, or is required by law.
This data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties (other than the necessary server infrastructure).

4. Embedded Content (YouTube & Itch.io)
We protect your privacy by not loading external content automatically.
- YouTube: We use the “Extended Privacy Mode”. No data is transferred to Google/YouTube until you explicitly click “Play”. By clicking, you consent to the data transfer (IP address) to YouTube.
- Itch.io: Links or widgets to itch.io do not track you on our site. If you interact with them, content loads from itch.io, and their privacy policy applies.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectify (Art. 16 GDPR), or delete (Art. 17 GDPR) your personal data.
